Terms of Service
FleetLynk is currently in its pilot program, and our formal Terms of Service are being finalized during the pilot.
Until they're published, your use of FleetLynk is governed by the agreement under which you joined the pilot. If you have any questions, email us at support@fleetlynk.co.
Paying an invoice online
An invoice paid through its FleetLynk payment link is paid to the permit company that sent it. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Permit fees paid to a state are not refundable once the state issues the permit. The permit company's service fees are refundable until work on that permit starts. A credit-card surcharge is refunded together with the payment it was charged on. Refunds go back to the way you paid: about 3 business days for a bank payment, 5-10 business days for a card.
To ask for a refund, contact the permit company that sent your invoice.
Some permit companies also take Zelle®. A Zelle payment goes from your bank straight to the permit company's and can't be reversed. If a refund is due, the permit company pays it back to you directly.
Paying a trip deposit
A permit company may ask for a deposit before it applies for a trip's permits. Before you pay, you see and agree to that trip's deposit terms: the service, the estimated total, the deposit and when it can be cancelled. The deposit is part of the price, not all of it: it is applied to that trip's invoice, the balance is billed after the permits are issued, and any amount the deposit paid beyond the bill is refunded.
Cancelling: You can cancel before the permit company submits your first permit application and get back the whole deposit, card surcharge included. After that, the permit fee for a state is kept once that state issues the permit, and its service fee for a permit is kept once work on that permit has started; everything else is refunded. If the permit company cannot provide the service as agreed, it refunds the whole deposit, card surcharge included.
Refunds: They go back to the way you paid, in about 3 business days for a bank payment or 5-10 business days for a card. Money left over from a bank payment may instead be returned by ACH credit or check.
A deposit is never kept as credit for another trip. You get a receipt by email for the deposit and for every refund.
To cancel or ask for a refund, contact the permit company that asked for the deposit.
